Homemade Marinated Jalapeño with Onion
Chrupiące, lekko pikantne marynowane jalapeño z dodatkiem cebuli to świetny dodatek do burgerów, hot dogów, tacos, nachos, pizzy czy kanapek. Przygotowanie zajmuje zaledwie kilka minut, a po 24–48 godzinach papryczki nabierają pełni smaku. Domowa wersja jest świeża, aromatyczna i pozwala dopasować ostrość do własnych upodobań.

Crispy, mildly spicy marinated jalapeño with added onion is a great topping for burgers, hot dogs, tacos, nachos, pizza, or sandwiches. Preparation takes just a few minutes, and after 24–48 hours the peppers develop their full flavor. The homemade version is fresh, aromatic, and lets you adjust the spiciness to your own preferences.

Wash the peppers and slice them into thin slices.

Peel the onion and cut it into thin slices.

Pour the water and vinegar into a saucepan, add the sugar and salt. Bring to a boil.

Add the garlic, pepper, and optionally the bay leaf and oregano.

Add the sliced jalapeño and onion. Cook over low heat for 1–2 minutes.

Transfer the peppers together with the onion into a sterilized jar.

Pour over the hot brine so that all the ingredients are completely covered.

Close the jar tightly and leave it to cool.
Tips
💡 The best flavor is achieved after 24–48 hours of marinating.
💡 After about a week, the peppers are even more aromatic.
💡 Store in the refrigerator after opening.
